Layout Generator lets you export your lot layout as a PDF for sharing or as a DXF file for CAD and GIS software. This article explains the export options.
How to export
To export your layout:
Click the Export button in the top-right toolbar.
Select your preferred format:
PDF — for sharing visuals with stakeholders, partners, or your internal team.
DXF — for use in CAD or GIS software.
PDF export details
The PDF export creates a one-page summary showing:
- Color-coded lots by lot type.
- Restricted areas.
- Site information summary (lot counts, acreage, etc.).
Labels are removed in the PDF for a cleaner visual presentation, but color coding is preserved.
DXF export details
The DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) export is designed for importing into CAD or GIS software. Your engineers and land planners can use the DXF file as a starting point when creating formal engineering drawings.
