Layout Generator lets you export your lot layout as a PDF for sharing or as a DXF file for CAD and GIS software. This article explains the export options.

---

## **How to export**

To export your layout:

1. Click the **Export** button in the top-right toolbar.

2. Select your preferred format:

   - **PDF** — for sharing visuals with stakeholders, partners, or your internal team.

   - **DXF** — for use in CAD or GIS software.

---

## **PDF export details**

The PDF export creates a one-page summary showing:

- Color-coded lots by lot type.
- Restricted areas.
- Site information summary (lot counts, acreage, etc.).

Labels are removed in the PDF for a cleaner visual presentation, but color coding is preserved.

## **DXF export details**

The DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) export is designed for importing into CAD or GIS software. Your engineers and land planners can use the DXF file as a starting point when creating formal engineering drawings.
